Tank Wars is a turn based tank duel game, where you try to knock out the enemy tank launching missiles.
The game can be played against a friend but also against the computer, which can be set at three difficulty levels ranging from easy to hard. The game is controlled by your keyboard, where you aim with the arrow keys, which are used to determine the angle you will be firing from and the ”A” button to set the velocity. Once launched it is your enemies turn to have a shot at you. The last tank standing wins.
This simple premise is the entire game. It requires some skill and strategy, but mostly getting used to the controls.
Generally the rounds are fast, but they can sometimes take a long while. Especially when playing a friend, Tank Wars is an entertaining variety on the original “Tanks” game.
The graphics are very basic, and so are the sounds. So if you are looking for spectacular explosions, awesome sound effects, Tank Wars is not for you, but for those that appreciate a good strategy based tank duel game, Tank Wars is definitely a game to try out, and it will prove to be a very entertaining arcade game, if you do.
